DO NOT install this gauge by using your hand to turn the gauge. DO use a
wrench on the brass connector. Failure to abide by this WILL KILL THE
GAUGE. No warranty, got it?
Capacity: 0-100 psi
Resolution: 0.1psi
Changing batteries: Top screw on the back will reveal a 9 volt battery.
Battery condition shows in the front display if the battery is getting close to
done.
Zeroing: The gauge is auto zeroing but if you need to zero it, hold down the
zero key for 2 seconds. The gauge must be exposed to open air for the zero to
be correct.
ON/OFF: Gauge will auto shutoff after 20 minutes. You can also manually shut
of off by using the on/off button.
UNITS: You can change the unit output by pressing both buttons at the same
time. Gauge must see open air when you do this.
Other Trivia:
Sometimes when you shutoff the fuel pump you will see a - number. This
would be normal as the fuel pulls/falls away from the gauge on a closed
system. If you crack the line and let atmosphere in it will likely go back to true
zero. The zero is set to the atmosphere around you.
If you see a vacuum number when you turn it on just turn it off and then on to
get it calibrated to the air. Repeat as needed.
While useless for our racing use this gauge can also be used for the low side
of automotive air conditioning systems. The 2 right hand squares show the
refrigerant type and the temperature. You can change these by repeatedly
pressing the R button. I send it with it set blank to avoid confusion. Repeated
pressing of the R button will cycle through the choices.
Treat this as a test gauge and you should get years of service. Treat it as a lug
nut and expect to buy another one.
